University
of Don Bosco is a project of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) implemented by
the Society of Don Bosco, Azarh, Guwahati. At present, Salesians working in 132 countries food
for more than nine million young people around the world. Salesians have been
recognized by the Government of India as one the largest provider of technical
education in India, second only to the government. It was created more than 100
Salesian technical schools and 25 colleges in India. Managed dozens of informal
training and agricultural training centers and relief centers, rehabilitation
centers, literacy centers and shelters for street children in India by the
Salesians of Don Bosco.
Don
Bosco University aims at excellence in education and the formation and seeks to
achieve a vibrant campus ministry program. And it offers a basket of skills
"finishing school and where the quality of each student. And come every
process in the system under the supervision of continuous and continuous
calendar. The Alumni Association proactively sustainable is carrying life-long
learning of students Danish and its partnership with the vision alma mater
forward.
Areas
of focus in the study and research has three main sectors. Sectors namely,
technology, service and social. It includes information technology sectors and
related areas, biotechnology and related fields. Cover and nursing services,
pharmacy, paramedical, psychology, counseling, management, media, arts, teacher
training, social work, rural development and related fields. Social sector has
a religion, culture, ethics, governance and tribal studies and other related
fields.
Distance
education to reach farther and inaccessible corners through distance education
programs using enable IT technologies. Commitment to community service includes
programs of study and training for women, farmers and local industries along
the lines of a community college. Full boarding school for children, especially
disadvantaged tribes sponsored. Danish ensures justice and access through
scholarships for outstanding students, and free scholarships for students
deserved disadvantaged student loans.
